Crafting the Perfect Negroni

We love a good Negroni and have been craving them this spring! Legend has it that the Negroni was born in Florence, Italy, in the early 20th century, when an Italian nobleman called for a stronger version of his favorite cocktail, the Americano. The result? A harmoniously balanced blend of gin, vermouth, and the bittersweet allure of Campari.

This cocktail is all about simplicity, but it’s the high-quality ingredients and precise measurements that make all the difference.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz gin

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

  • 1 oz Campari

  • We like to add a squeeze of orange (Cara Cara oranges are our favorite!)
Orange twist or slice, for garnish

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. Fill a mixing glass or cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Pour the gin, sweet vermouth, Campari, and squeeze of orange over the ice.

  3. Stir the mixture well until it’s perfectly chilled, ensuring that the flavors meld together perfectly.

  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled rocks glass over fresh ice.

  5. Garnish with a twist or slice of orange to add a hint of zest and aroma.

Now, treat yourself and let the blend of botanicals, citrus, and herbal notes transport you to an Italian spring state of mind!

Cheers!
